I thought things went okay for first time buyer at this dealership.. like any other business it’s more profitable to them vs the buyer.

Took for ever to get my truck in to be looked at so it could be fixed. Rec'd it back and it still is not completely fixed. when I called to mention it and as when I could get back in, the answer was I'll have to call you when we have an opening. Why would my truck not be taken right back in to be looked at again and the work finished?

Had to get my truck in to have the onstar checked out. Module needed to be replaced took a little longer to get the part in but once the unit was in truck was brought in and fixed right away.

I will be bringing in my Truck in the next week or so to have Snow Tires put on and a Lift Kit installed because of getting the Snow Plow Pkge with my Truck. Unfortunately I was disappointed that your website and advertisement looked like you had many vehicles to choose from at your location but you did not so there was none of what I was looking for! David was able to locate one from another state which David made work, site unseen! If David wasn’t as helpful and knowledgeable I would NOT have chosen your dealership!

I dropped my car off on 5/5 because I was getting a transmission error on my vehicle. Because it was suggested by another shop that I bring it here, because the vehicle is still under Warranty, I said I could leave it to be fit in the schedule. On Friday, 5/9 I called to get an update as I hadn’t heard anything. No update, and no timeframe given. Here lies the first problem. I understand the vehicle is being forming the schedule , but after a week wouldn’t an update be polite? Maybe just scheduling the vehicle at this point? But no, I heard nothing unless I called and I was met with, “we have no master technicians”. Fast forward to 5/15, I get a call asking if it was ok to bring the vehicle to St. Johnsbury. I say ok, because why wouldn’t I? My car has been out of commission for nearly two weeks. Had I known that “giving my blessing” would mean that you drove my vehicle to another dealership, I’m not sure I would have agreed. I didn’t expect to have a car, that was there for transmission issues, would be driven 45 minutes away. Maybe I should’ve asked more questions, however this is why people bring cars to dealerships, because you are supposedly professional and expected to be honest, so far I have felt neither of these. That Friday, my car was diagnosed. I agreed to have the work done, feeling as though I have no other options since it’s been two weeks. In the two week mark, I received the call my vehicle was complete. As I pull into the parking lot, I asked my dad why he thought my plates were gone, surely there’s no reason, to tow it? To get it to St. Johnsbury? To my shock and horror, when I stepped up to pay I was met with “so you have no plates just so you know”. Well where are they? I was told I didn’t bring the car in with them. Are you kidding? Why would I spend over $1000 on a vehicle that had no plates? Why would I drive it there with no plates? I was asked too many times if I was sure I brought the plates. YES. I was this told they were stolen. I have never felt more insulted. First I was blamed for not bringing them, then when that wasn’t a good enough answer I was told they were stolen. Please answer this. Why would a criminal put Alan of the screws back? Why would a criminal pick one random car to take plates from when there are more than fifty to take? Instead of admitting your business messed up and took my plates, no one would even look. No one could instruct me on what to do. It was pathetic. As of today, 5/25, I still have a vehicle that I can’t drive. I spent over $1000 and got back a vehicle with no plates. To add to it, I never hear back that anyone even tried to look. I have leased three vehicles and bought one from this business. I am so disappointed with the service and care you give to your customers and their vehicles.

Leased my 8th vehicle from Scott Campbell at Capitol GMC. Received a fair quote after the road test and immediately started the paperwork. Scott spent a lot of time getting me a Veterans discount and setting up my insurance and financing. I appreciate his effort. I left again with good feelings about dealing with Scott and Capitol GMC. I purchased the 2026 GMC Terrain AT 4. It’s a great rig!

Fast and friendly

Went there for issues with my radio, I asked before I left the dealership if they found a problem but I was told there could be a update to the problem and once it gets the signal it should fix itself?? It’s not any different than when I brought it!!! Purely disappointed, I will be calling the dealership next week to discuss my options in getting it fixed.

Friendly and quick service

Karl was able to keep my payment about the same for my two vehicles and worked a deal to make it happen.

I was able to set up my appointment for only a couple weeks out which was very convenient, I dropped off my truck, got a service ride to work, got a phone call only a few hours later letting me know my truck was ready to be picked up, when I arrived my issue had been diagnosed and repaired at $0 cost to me, thanks to my warranty.

Timely and courteous service. My only complaint is about your parking lot. You sell trucks, not compact cars, it’s sometimes impossible to even get near the service department with a big truck that has a big turning radius. You need to do something about the parking lot. Otherwise everything else is good.

Overall the experience was good. I do have to go back again for parts and a software update.

Capitol City GMC has been one of the better dealership's (Sales and Service) that I have delt with over the years, I have own at least 10-12 Trucks over the years and I love my new 2026 GMC Serria Denali 1500. I typically take very good care of my investment, the one thing that bothers me the most and this true for most dealerships I've that I have delt with is technicians getting in the new vehicle with dirty clothes and shoes. My opinion is the service manager before handing over the keys is they first put seating and floor protectors in the vehicle. I just shows that you care about my investment.
